Counter piracy is now essential in the high risk shipping channels of West Africa, The Gulf of Aden, the Malacca Straights and the South China Sea. The maxim of any operation is "preparation prevents poor performance" and this is where the onshore team go to work long before security teams set foot onboard your vessels

Our intel officers update and log all security risk situations and potential flash points as they occur providing our security teams with geographical risk history as well as up to the minute threat assessments. It's common sense to have all the facts available so we don't sail blind.

We network with other security services as our teams know from past experience that problems shared are very quickly overcome and a combined intelligence effort produces clarity at speed.

Once risk levels are established and agreed the team necessary to meet those threats can be assembled. All our staff are Ex senior members of the British Armed Forces who's outstanding leadership and task effectiveness skills have been honed around the planet whilst serving in the most disciplined and highly trained army in the world.

With a comprehensive risk assessment conducted, the security teams then liaise with your management and crew to plan the route, discussing and advising on potential hot spots, crew drills that may need implementing and best practice in all aspects of the operation.

We find that a well briefed and informed management and crew fosters confidence and a high level of morale essential to the smooth running of the vessel.

Crew Training

Whilst it's our remit to provide ship security we will also train your crews on prevention, protection and safety drills should piracy countermeasures be required. Our security teams are exceptional communicators at all levels, keen trainers who will inspire the crew and manage expectations.

Security Team Leaders are also skilful relationship managers with a relaxed but professional style essential to maintaining crew confidence and morale. The safety of your management and crew are the priority and if they are trained and confident they can be safely out of harms way should the need arise allowing the security teams to perform their tasks to the full.

Embedding The right security Team

We are not in the business of using a hammer to crack a nut so we select our security teams to match the risk level of a voyage, be it container vessel, oil or gas tanker or super yacht we will dovetail your requirements.

All our team members are Ex senior members of the British Armed Forces, vetted and recruited personally by our UK based management team, who are also themselves from the ranks.

Our UK headquarters staff co-ordinate recruitment, procurement and manage client expectations and the needs of the security teams on the ground and at sea. Our on shore team manage on the ground logistics and real time communication in the time zone of the operation whilst also providing up to the minute intelligence pertinent to the security teams.

The teams themselves consist of a Security Team Leader, the main point of contact with management and the on shore team. Teams consist of highly motivated specialists trained in non lethal defence, risk management, counter piracy techniques, first aid and as a last resort, lethal force.
